The HMAS Canberra was commissioned in 1981 in Seatle, Washinton, USA. It served the Australian Navy until November 12th, 2005 when she was decommissioned in Rockingham, Western Australia. She was the third ship to bear the name Canberra and so her full name was HMAS Canberra FFG-02.
Crew complement was 210 and she was capable of 30 knots and a range of over 7000 kilometres at 20 knots.
